Peggy Agnis Caraway, 78, of Mount Pleasant died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born August 11, 1932 in Lafferty, Arkansas the daughter of Claude Edwards and Dovie (Moser) Edwards.
She married D.B. Caraway, July 9, 1949 in Melbourne. She was a homemaker and worked for White River Shirt Factory for 23 years and White River Area Agency on Aging for 14 years. She was a member of Lafferty Community Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, D.B. Caraway of Mount Pleasant; son, Nathan Caraway of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Rebecca Caraway of Cave City; grandchildren, Andrea Baltes of Longview, Texas, Blake Caraway of Batesville and Maggie Caraway of Mount Pleasant; great-grandchild Bethany Baltes of Longview; brothers, D.R. Edwards of Mount Pleasant and Don Edwards of Melbourne; sisters, Abigail Smith of Mount Pleasant and Ortez Loggains of Melbourne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; son, D.B. Caraway, Jr; and brother, Wendell Edwards.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Reeves/Pine Grove Church and Cemetery officiated by Doyne Robertson.
Burial will be at Reeves/Pine Grove Cemetery by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers are Tim Edwards, Quillen Edwards, Mark Smith, Jason Loggains, Phillip Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Shane Edwards, and Kenny Caraway. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Loggains, Kerry Caraway, and Kris Caraway.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
