Lindell D. Douglas 
June 5, 1923 - November 11, 2008

Mr. Lindell D. Douglas, age 85 of the Hand Cove area passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Pine Lane Healthcare. Lindell D. Douglas was born June 5, 1923 in Bonne Terre, MO to Hubert and Ora (Roberts) Douglas. He married the love of his life, Doris June (Black) Douglas in Ironton, MO on September 7, 1942. They were married over 50 wonderful years. Lindell was a Corporal in the US Army Air Forces during WWII. He fought in the Battle of Saipan, among other. Mr. Douglas later worked as a lead miner and ironworker. He was a member of Locals 22, 395, 439, and the United Mine Workers. He was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh.

Mr. Lindell D. Douglas is survived by 1 daughter: Tamara Jo Douglas Puett and husband Ralph Thomas Puett of Chino Hills, CA; 2 Brothers: Ronald Douglas and wife Cheryl of Town and Country, MO and Gary Douglas and wife Lynda of Orlando, FL; 5 grandchildren: Ralph Thomas Puett, III, and wife Robin, Devyn June Puett Belville and husband, Joshua, Chris Ehlers Huckabey and husband Corey, Ericka Ehlers and Brett Ehlers; 5 great-grandchildren: Ralph Thomas Puett, IV, Cameron Bae Puett, Hunter Rose Belville, Jackson Tucker Belville, and Hudson Ryder Belville; 3 Nieces: Becky, Angie, and Joann Brasher; 2 nephews: Bryan and Erik; and 3 great nieces: Becca, Tessa, and Ragan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris June (Black) Douglas, his parents, and a daughter, Vicki Lynn Douglas Ehlers.

A graveside service with military honors will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at Wake Cemetery on Hand Cove Road. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until Noon at Roller Funeral Home.
