LaVerl Moore Mason, a beacon of strength and nurturing love, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Batesville, Arkansas.

She was born on May 27, 1929, in Charlotte, to Albert Leroy Moore and Audra Lillian (Haigwood) Moore.

LaVerl's professional life was marked by over three decades of service as a Community Development Director at White River Planning and Development. Her dedication to her work was paralleled by her commitment to her community, where she was known as a pillar of support and a fountain of wisdom.

An avid traveler, LaVerl embraced the beauty of the world with open arms. Together, LaVerl and her husband, Howard, enjoyed 15 years of RV travel across the United States. Her hobbies reflected her love for the simple joys in life. She was an accomplished seamstress, a master of quilting, and her gardens were a testament to her patience and care. LaVerl's love for bird watching was more than a pastime; it was a reflection of her appreciation for life's delicate wonders.

Above all, LaVerl was known as "everyone's mother," always there to lend a helping hand with a heart full of unconditional love. Her passion for life and her love for children were evident in every action she took and every smile she shared.

LaVerl Moore Mason's journey through life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, resilience, and grace. She will be profoundly missed, yet her influence will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her story is not one of sorrow, but a celebration of a life beautifully lived and a reminder of the joy she brought to so many.

LaVerl's legacy is carried forward by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted son, Allen Fusare of Spokane, Washington, her caring daughter, Donna Moler (Bruce) of Virginia, and her sister, Nona Floyd of Batesville, Arkansas. LaVerl was a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, Christopher Moler, Emily Moler, Nicholas Fusare, and Vanessa Conne, who will miss her deeply. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were touched by her generous spirit.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her beloved husband, Howard Mason, her dear son, Frank Fusare, and her brothers, Allen Moore and James Moore.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
