Larry Green, 71, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed from this life on March 22, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18, 1954, in Rector, Arkansas, to Ulis and Geneva (Potter) Green.
Larry was a member of Bluff Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. He found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially spending quality time with his son Chris hunting, antiquing, and going to yard sales. Above all, Larry cherished his family, and his great grandbabies were truly the light of his life.
A man of many talents and interests, Larry was also a musician who loved playing music and shooting pool with his friends. Throughout his life, he worked in forestry with TSI, served as an auctioneer, and worked in maintenance at the Ozark Folk Center. He was known for his strong work ethic, friendly nature, and the lasting friendships he built along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulis and Geneva Green and his sister, Judy Watts.
Larry is survived by his son, Chris Green and wife Helen of Mountain View, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Shiela Coolbaugh of Shiloh, Illinois, and Jenifer Holt of Mountain View, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Airi and Alice Coolbaugh of Shiloh, Illinois; two sisters, Beverly McCoy and husband Jeff of Big Flat, Arkansas, and Kathy Ward of Berryville, Arkansas; and his twin brother, Gary Green and wife Bernice of Mountain View, Arkansas. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Fifty Six Cemetery in Fifty Six, Arkansas, with Brother Gary Don Fletcher and Brother Gary Green officiating.
Pallbearers will be Darien Garman, Jarrod Watts, Jeff McCoy, Allen Ford, Lucky McCoy, and Joel Woody.
Honorary pallbearers are Benny Watts and Bob Apple.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made at First Service Bank in Mountain View, Arkansas, to the Larry Green donation account, care of his son, Larry C. Green.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
