Shirley June Davis, 80, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Monette Manor in Monette, Arkansas. She was born on January 14, 1946, in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Junious ''Red'' Lee and Marjorie (Smith) Lee. She was a faithful and devoted member of Brookland Church of Christ, where she loved being involved in church activities and took great joy in teaching Bible school.
Shirley's life was centered around her family. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother who never missed a single moment in her children's lives as they were growing up. Whether it was a school event, a ballgame, or simply being there when she was needed, Shirley showed up with love every time.
She had a gift for making a house feel like home. Shirley was an incredible cook, and she greatly enjoyed cleaning her own home. She also found comfort and joy in listening to music, often filling her home with both song and warmth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee, and her son-in-law, Danny Robbins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 58 years, Loyd Davis; son, Tony Davis and wife Karen of Centerton, AR; her daughter, Cheryl Robbins of Jonesboro, AR; her beloved grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah, TJ, Scott, John Allen, LeighAnn, and Trey; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Ray Lee and wife Kay; her sisters, Carolyn Lee and Lena Winn; along with many extended family members, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Brookland Church of Christ (9664 US 49 Business, Brookland, Arkansas 72417) with Jeff Heitman officiating. Burial will follow at Dunklin Memorial Park Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.
Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Allen Robbins, Trey Robbins, TJ Davis, Scott Davis, Karson Anderson, Kayden Anderson, and Nile Thrasher.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Shirley's honor to Children's Home, Inc. (5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450), or to the Alzheimer's Association.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Monette Manor and Dierksen Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and care they so generously provided.
Shirley will be deeply missed, but her love, her warmth, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
