Teresa Elaine Bettis

of Proctor, AR

August 22, 1950 - February 27, 2026

Teresa Elaine Bettis, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Proctor, Arkansas, on February 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Teresa was born on August 22, 1950, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to William Everett Walker and Avonelle Ann Walker (née Sanford). From a young age, Teresa carried a gentle spirit and a caring heart that would define her life.

She shared 59 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Algie H. Bettis, Jr. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and simple joys. Teresa was a loving and devoted wife, a proud mother to Rebecca Limon (Alfred) and Joe Bettis, and a cherished grandmother to Brooklyn Limon, Erica Neri (Blake), Timothy Limon (Adriana), and Zachary Limon. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Dominic, Victoria, Charlotte, Eli, Oakley Limon, and Chloe Channel Neri, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Teresa is also survived by her brother, Thomas Walker, and her sisters, Yvette, Nancy, Sally, and Yvonne. She leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Teresa loved cooking for her family, filling her home with warmth and the comforting aroma of meals made with love. She was an avid fisherwoman who found peace and happiness outdoors, especially when sitting beside Algie with a line in the water. Those quiet moments together were among her most treasured.

Above all, Teresa was the heart of her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though her presence is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to guide and comfort her family in the days ahead.

She will be forever loved and forever remembered.
