Timothy Joel Smith

of Mountain View, AR

March 29, 1965 - February 27, 2026

Timothy Joel Smith, 60, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away on February 27, 2026. Born on March 29, 1965, in Mountain View, Timothy was a lifelong resident of the community he loved so dearly.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Zola Smith; his sister, Helen Smith; his grandchild, Jordan Day; and his niece, Brittany Smith.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Wendy Smith; his son, Timothy "Jo" Smith; his daughters, Kasie (Rickey) Linville and Lacey (Matt) Ogle, all of Mountain View. Brothers, Larry (Janice) Smith, Rod (Davida) Smith and Roger (Becky) Smith. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Micheal Linville, Jaden Day, Holly Linville, Kensie Linville, and Lilly Ogle; and his great-grandchildren, Zachary and Ellie Linville. His family was his pride and joy, and nothing meant more to him than the time he spent with them.

Tim worked as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years, a career he took great pride in. Known as a true jack of all trades, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. If something was broken, he could fix it. If someone needed help, he was the first to show up. His strong work ethic, steady hands, and generous heart made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He truly never met a stranger.

He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Whether casting a line, sitting in a deer stand, or spending time with friends and family, he was happiest surrounded by the people and places he loved. And of course, his faithful dog Porky was never far from his side.

Tim will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his loyalty, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the memories that will be cherished forever.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family celebrates a life well lived and a man well loved.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Evangelistic Center Church, in Mountain View, Arkansas Monday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Brother Bobby Copeland officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jo Smith, Jake Smith, Jesse Smith, Marcus Smith, Dakota Smith and Dustin Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers are Rickey Linville, Matt Ogle, Micheal Linville, Jaden Day and Ethan Smith.
