Gary Don Livingston, age 73, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed from his earthly home and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 30, 2026, while doing what he loved most trucking and traveling.
Gary Don ''Livey'' Livingston was born on May 10, 1952, in Mountain View, Arkansas, to Betty Jo Williams and John Livingston. At a young age, Gary proudly joined the United States Army to serve his country. After returning to civilian life, he met and married Anna Branscum and they went on to share a long life together and raise 2 wonderful sons. He became a business owner, operating Army Surplus stores in both Mountain View and Heber Springs. Through the years, he also worked in the pipeline industry alongside his sons, Jeremy and Jordan creating lasting memories and sharing the value of hard work and family.
Gary later returned home to Mountain View, where he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his sons and beloved grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He had a deep love for the open road and found great joy in trucking and traveling. He made a long lasting career in trucking after a successful business owner (that became a lifelong friend) named Keith Everett gave him a chance to begin a career that he would embrace and enjoy for the rest of his life. He finished out his career the last few months with TLI& Bad Boy mowers where he made new and lasting friendships that positively impacted his life. He took pride in his interest and collection of Case knives, focusing his attention on the 70's models and older. He also cherished time around the poker table, where he built many friendships with people from Mountain View, Mountain Home, and Heber Springs, friends who became like family.
Gary will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, father-in-law, son, brother, and loyal friend. His presence, stories, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Livingston and wife Nikki of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Jordan Livingston and Leah of Cabot, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Caleb Livingston, Isaac Livingston, Marley Livingston, Ryder Livingston, Livi Livingston, Torianne McCarty, Kialyn McCarty, and Karcyn McCarty; brothers Ben Velasco, Reggie Velasco, Matt Velasco, Lani Velasco a host of other very close friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Livingston and Betty Jo Velasco, his grandmother Mildred Williams (that he referred to as his mom) and his brother, Rick Livingston.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 21st 2026, 10 am visitation and 11 am Memorial at Cornerstone House of Prayer in Mountain View, Arkansas with Bro. David Campbell and Pastor Daniel Stephens officiating.

Praying for the family. R.I.P……
Gonna miss ya.

It was a pleasure knowing Gary and working with him. He was the best driver and won employee of the month several times and also employee of the year. I considered him a great friend and was so kind to my kids while he stopped in the office. We laughed and joked and just spoke about life. I will miss talking to him. I pray for his family that God comforts them during this time.
