George Leonard Hachmeister, Sr., of Lamar died February 4, 2026, at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; his in-laws; and two brothers.

George is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melissa of the home; his sisters in-law, Beth Anderson of Clarksville, and Gail (Gary) Rodican of Fontana, California; two sons, Lenny of Amarillo, Texas, and William (Tiffany) of Clarksville; four daughters, Surina McCarthy of Joliet, Illinois, Donalee Samuelsen of Yucaipa, California, Sandra McDonell of North Carolina, and Ingrid Mynatt of Florida; one sister, Robin (Isaac) Cope of Fort Worth, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren

He was an Army veteran. The body will be cremated. Interment and celebration of life will be at a later date.
