Carol ''Lacole'' Reed (Coco), 40, of Bono, AR, passed from her life on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on August 4, 1985, in Jonesboro, AR, to the late Billy New Jr. and Carla Baker Brown. Lacole lived in the Bono area for most of her life and was a graduate of Westside High School. She loved spending time with her family and friends, but her husband Daniel and her fur-baby Scrapy were her whole world. Scrapy was her baby and went everywhere with Lacole. Likewise, Lacole was Scrapy's whole world, and if you saw Lacole, you would always see Scrapy, and Scrapy always knew where she was every minute of the day. Scrapy never knew she wasn't a human and Lacole's real baby.

Lacole loved reading poetry and spending time with her friends at bonfires. She loved listening to music, being on her phone scrolling Facebook and Temu, but her favorite thing to do was draw. She took art at Jonesboro Votech during her senior year.

She is preceded in death by her father, Billy New Jr., maternal grandparents Earl and Joyce Baker, paternal grandparents Billy and Laviece New, and grandfather Tony Moman.

Those left to remember Lacole are her loving husband Daniel Reed; her fur-baby Scrapy; her mother and bonus dad Carla and William Brown; grandmother Glenda Moman; brother Justin New; sisters Michelle (Terry) McNatt, Chloe (Bradley) Rouse and April Coleman; brothers in law Terry (Michelle) McNatt, Billy (Charlina) Reed, and Emmitt (Shari) Reed; sisters in law Debbie Lindsey and Anita Cunningham; aunts Linda Painter, and Barbara (Jake) Barnes; uncle James (Renee) Baker; and many nieces and nephews, family, friends, and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2:30pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401) with Brian Beach officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.

Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:30pm.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry McNatt, Terron McNatt, Michael Purcell, Ronnie Purcell, Bobby Quarales, Ronnie Blounte.
