Cornelia Lovell Walker

of Weiner, AR

November 11, 1937 - February 1, 2026

Cornelia Lovell Walker, 88, of Weiner, AR, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on November 11, 1937, in Earle, AR, to Grover and Gladys (Posey) Pruitt. Cornelia was a long-time member of Weiner Christian Church. After retiring from the Weiner school district, she spent her time enjoying walking, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, and going to church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, J.W. Walker, her parents, infant son Michael Walker, and siblings Cleta Anschultz, Jackie Pruitt, Carl Pruitt, and Jimmy Pruitt.

Those left to remember Cornelia are daughters Judy Howell and Carol (John) Drope; grandchildren Penny and Steven; great grandchildren Landon, Reese, and Radleigh; brother Jr. (Joanne) Pruitt, Gary (Renae) Pruitt, and Leon (Delores) Pruitt; sister Brenda Hellums; and many more family, friends, church family, and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401). Ben Stover will officiate, accompanied by Joe Kelley and Rick Ferren.

Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1pm.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin Tatum, Steven Jaco, FA Walker, David Schwartz, David Romans, and Shaun Kirby.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made in Cornelia's name to St. Jude Children's Research Center.

So sorry for your loss she was a wonderful person and friend and always let me stay there when needed she will truly be missed now her and jw can be together
