Judy Kay Howard, 78, of Floral passed away Friday, January 23, 2026.

She was born April 17, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas to Herbert Washington Boswell and Irene (Cardwell) Boswell.

Judy was a loving, caring people person who loved her family and her dog. She was very lively and enjoyed going to Walmart (her office), going fishing, and loved to travel. She loved to watch sports and her favorite teams were the Tennessee Titans, Texas Tech, Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Dallas Cowboys. Judy graduated from Batesville High School in 1966 and went on to work as a County Clerk in Montgomery County in Clarksville, Tennessee for several years.

She is survived by one son, Brent Howard of Batesville; one daughter, Traci Bowren (Robin) of Pleasant Plains; one sister, Nancy Dickey of Texas; six grandchildren, Kayla Light, Sarah Howard, Austin Carey, Heather Westmoreland, Kevin Bowren, and Ethan Bowren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her dog, Toby, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Humane Society of Independence County, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501.

Oh how we loved Ms. Judy!! She was so kind and loving! She always treated my family like her own! She will be missed by many! Hugs and Prayers to all her family and friends!
