Eugene "Par-doo" Smith, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Lexa, Arkansas. He was born Thursday, July 18, 1946, in Marvell, Arkansas to the late J.R Smith and Mary Louise Wolfe. Eugene was a mechanic at Bruce Ritchey and delivery technician at Cunningham. He enjoyed fishing, camping, word search puzzles, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Lily. Eugene was an honored veteran of the United States Army.
Eugene is survived by his son Micheal Smith (Lisa) of Bentonville, Arkansas; daughter, Marsha Hill (Jimmy) of Helena, Arkansas; grandchildren Myranda Gosa, Michaela Smith, Jared Hill, Dylan Hill, Jaide Smith and Micheal Smith; great-grandchildren, Star Workman, Blayze Gosa; great-great grandchildren, Luncinda Workman; brother, Lonnie Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathy Smith, parents; brothers, Ray Smith and Sid Smith.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Hill, Dylan Hill, John Gosa, Blayze Gosa, Jeffrey Cothren and Taylor Cothren.
A funeral service honoring the life of Eugene "Par-doo" Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 p.m. Brother Audie Richardson will officiate.

Michael and Marsha. I just now came across Uncle Eugenes obituary. I know how it feels and if there is anything that would make it feel better I would. And I would have been there if I had known that he passed. I love you guys. May peace be with ya'll

Toyota mechanic than your Dad. Didn't hear of his passing until tonight Sorry I missed
the funeral. He was a fine respected man.

My heart definitely breaks for you both! And Our family as we all lose another great one! Uncle Doo was such a blessing to our family. Always bringing a great smile and a loving sense of humor. Always ready with a funny saying or story to keep everyone happy. He will definitely be remembered and is one of a kind! He loved his family with all he had, you guys were his light! I love you both!
