Rosie Lee Howard

of Clinton, AR

June 9, 1939 - January 19, 2026

Rosie Lee (Vines) Howard, 86, of the Plant Community, was born June 9th, 1939, in Dallas, Texas to the late Frank and Julie (McAnnally) Vines and passed from this life on January 19th, 2026, at her home, comforted by family.

She was a devoted wife, mother, great/grandmother, and the cornerstone of her family. Rosie found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. She carried that same love for life into the outdoors, where she spent her time floating the rivers, swimming, fishing, and arrowhead hunting. In her earlier years, she was an accomplished athlete who competed in baseball and bowling. Her skill and dedication earned her multiple awards. Rosie also enjoyed traveling, whether on a cruise, running an errand with grandkids, or an afternoon trying her luck at the slots. She was an essence, a family oriented woman who nourished her home through laughter, stories, togetherness, and family. Rosie created a love that will last for generations to come.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, OB Jerry Howard, parents, Frank and Julie Vines, sister, Patsy Pouge, two sons-in-law, Michael Olive, and DC Comegys and great-grandson Elijah Christen.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children; Aaron Howard (Sara), Shawn Howard, Synthia Olive, Szana Comegys, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Rosie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, OB Jerry, in Plant Cemetery.
