Mary Evelyn Bailey entered her eternal rest on January 15, 2026, at the age of eighty four. She has gone home, not to an ending, but to the warm and holy embrace of her Savior; not to silence, but to the music of Heaven's everlasting peace.
Her heart was shaped by kindness, her spirit gentle enough to soften even the hardest day. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with a devotion that asked for nothing and gave everything. Her love was steadfast, freely offered, and unconditionally shared with every soul blessed enough to know her.
Mary brought light into every room, comfort into every weary moment, and love into every heart that needed it. Though she has stepped beyond our sight, her presence lingers in our laughter, our memories, and in the love, she taught us to give without hesitation.
She will be forever missed, forever cherished, and forever loved.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ruth Lindsey; her brothers, Phillip Lindsey and Charles Lindsey; her sister, Georgia Stone; her husbands, Armie W. Hunt and Lloyd Bailey; and her daughter, Jamie Hunt.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Hunt (Lisa) and Randy Hunt (Angela); her grandsons, Justin Hunt (Brittney), River Hunt (Faith Wilemon), and Matthew Hunt (Nikki); her great-grandchildren, Ava Hunt, Arianna Hunt, Journey Young, and Brittin Boldin; her sisters, Irma Lindsey Shoffner and Lois Wallis; and her brothers, Steve Lindsey and Fred Lindsey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., in North Little Rock. A graveside service will be on Friday, January 30, at 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Newark, Arkansas.

Mrs. Hunt was like a second mom to and few other neighborhood kids. She was the best second mom a boy could dream of having. Gentle, kind, and respectful to all she encountered. Wish I could have paid my respects.

Mrs. Mary was a beautiful soul, inside and out. I looked forward to seeing her on Sunday mornings for over twenty years. Her sweet spirit is already missed at Gravel Ridge General Baptist Church. Everyone that knew her loved her. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven with our Lord, Jesus.
Robert, Lisa, Matt, Nikki, Randy, and all the rest of the family, you are all in my prayers during this time of grief. Please know that my love and prayers are with you.

Loved my sweet sister. She was a good mother, grandmother. great grandmother, sister and friend. Will be greatly missed by all.

Bob and I enjoyed our lunches with Mary and Lloyd until illness prevented their joining She was always a joy to be with
