Nancy June McHughes

of North Little Rock, AR

August 8, 1942 - January 14, 2026

Rev. Nancy June Waycasy McHughes, age 83, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late June and Harry Waycasy.

Nancy was a lifelong cosmetologist, florist, minister, and devoted homemaker. She loved to paint, write letters to her family in beautiful calligraphy, and arrange flowers. Nancy was a true prayer warrior for countless people. Friends and loved ones would call at all hours of the night seeking her comfort and prayers, and many stopped by her home to be prayed over. She faithfully answered her calling to ministry and served as the pastor of We Are One Ministry for 38 years, alongside her husband, Rev. Raymond Wayne.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and grandparents; her brother, Harry Waycasy Jr.; and her grandson, Brandon Hughes.

She is survived by her son, Michael McHughes; daughters, Tamberly Hughes and Rhonda Del Castillo; grandchildren, Joshua Hughes and Brittney, Cristian, and Kate Del Castillo; great grandchildren, Skyler, Tyler, Julia, Cali and Konner Hughes; sons-in-law, Enrique Del Castillo and Troy Sealy; brothers, Michael Webb, Robert Waycasy, and Phillip Waycasy; and sister, Barbara Waycasy Gibson.

A funeral service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas, on Saturday, January 17, at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
