Mr. Ernest ''Ernie'' Muier, 89, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years on January 23, 1966 and his devoted sister, Norma.

Ernie was born August 13, 1936, in Clarkridge, Arkansas, to the late Samuel Muier and Madge Lewis Muier Parks. He spent his life as a hardworking and kindhearted man who valued faith, family, and community.

For more than 30 years, Ernie worked in clothing sales, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and dedication. After his retirement, he continued serving his community by working as a custodian at Mountain Home High School, a role he took pride in and where he was warmly regarded by students and staff alike.

Ernie enjoyed an active life and many hobbies. He loved boating, water skiing, bowling, and golfing. Music was especially dear to his heartâ€"he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing as a member of a Gospel quartet, sharing his faith and joy through song.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his sister, Norma Stewart; his sister-in-law, Delores Wilkey; his brother-in-law, David Bird; three nephews, Mike Stewart, Randy Bird, and Paul Rhodes; three nieces, Shelly Stewart, Debbie Harrilson, and Alicia Galland; and his cherished cats, Max and Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nina Bird and Pauline Rhodes; and two brothers-in-law, Fred Stewart and R. L. Rhodes.

Ernie will be remembered for his gentle spirit, strong work ethic, love of music, and deep devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Roller Funeral Home, Monday, January 19th from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am with burial at Baxter Memorial Gardens.

To Ernie's family,
We are so very sorry for your loss.. We have know Ernie for as long as I can remember and his beautiful convertible car. When our daughter was in the Baxter County Fair Beauty pageant, Ernie was the one who drove her in the parade. He had such a gentle manner. He was a good man and will be dearly missed. Please accept our condolences. Praying that you may find comfort during this difficult time.
