of Hasty, AR
May 31, 1947 - January 9, 2026
Sharon Marlene (Lee) Hope, age 78, of Hasty, Arkansas went straight to the loving arms of Jesus on Friday morning January 9, 2026 after 7 weeks in the hospital and a tough fight! She had many ups and downs during that time. She was able to visit off and on, joking like she does, even in hard times. Sharon has been so strong and such an inspiration to so many people through the years, especially after her stroke almost 20 years ago. She will always be loved and terribly missed! We take comfort that she is now with our dad, our grandparents and many other loved ones. We are especially thankful she is now WHOLE again! We look forward to the time when we are all together in Heaven!!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Hope, who died in 2017, as well as her parents Troy Pace Lee and Vesta (Robinson) Lee, and her brothers Dr. Roy Lee and Ron Lee. She is survived by her sister, Jeannine (Lee) von Gonten and her husband Charles of Houston TX; her sister-in-law Lyndia Lee of Wildwood, TX; her two daughters, Cindy (Hope) Linn and her husband Brian, and Melissa (Hope) Johnston and her husband Bryan; three grandsons, Darren Johnston, Codey Johnston, and Zachary Linn, all of Harrison; 2 aunts, Shirley and Donna Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sharon was born May 31, 1947, at the Harrison Hospital to Troy Pace Lee and Vesta Lea (Robinson) Lee and grew up on a farm in Hasty. At 3, she moved with her family to Texas City, Texas where she loved going to Kohfeldt Elementary. At 13, she returned to Hasty with her parents and her brother. She attended Western Grove where she was a Cheerleader and dedicated Western Grove Warrior through and through. She spent many summers at Rock Haven Bible camp, Yardelle Chapel teaching Bible School and sang on the radio with ''The Joy Club''.
She was married in 1968 to Jerry Hope of Little Rock where she was a homemaker. She was a wonderful mom to Cindy and Melissa, as well as their cousins and friends! She cooked many meals for her family, including two devoted sons-in-law and 3 precious grandsons. After 38 years, she and Jerry moved to Harrison where they made even more friends. Sharon was a Christian and spent many years serving the Lord, as a daycare and Bible School teacher and joyfully played piano for Children's Church. She was a great storyteller. The children especially loved her felt-board Bible stories. She was a beautiful person inside and out. People commented on her ''movie star looks'' but were equally impressed with her friendly nature and compassionate spirit.
