Robert Windle

of Conway, AR

May 15, 1947 - January 13, 2026

Charles Robert Windle, Sr., 78, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on January 13, 2026. Known affectionately to family and friends as ''Robert,'' he will be deeply missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen ''Kathy'' Windle; his daughter, Lori Windle Quinn, both of Conway; his son, Charles Robert (Rob) Windle, Jr. of Wye Mountain; and his beloved grandson, Charles Robert (Chaz) Windle III, also of Conway. He also leaves behind his sister, Linda Windle Harness of North Carolina, as well as a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Richard and Mary Ilene Windle, and his brother, Perry Don Windle.

Robert loved his Savior first and foremost and deeply adored his wife, children, and grandson. A member of Second Baptist Church in Conway for more than 50 years, he served faithfully in various leadership roles, including serving as a deacon for many years.

Growing up in Perryville, Arkansas, Robert graduated from Perryville High School before attending the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned a master's degree in education and administration. He began his professional life teaching alongside his wife, Kathy, in England, Arkansas. Robert later transitioned into the building industry, designing and constructing homes in Conway, and also spent several years in the insurance field prior to his retirement.

Robert loved the beauty of Arkansas and enjoyed being outdoors. He treasured time spent with his wife and family and especially cherished his beloved dog, Lucy, who was by his side for 16 years and brought him great joy. Over the years, he enjoyed architecture, fishing, canoeing, camping, drawing, antique cars, trains, cooking, and reading.

Robert was well known for his laugh and warm smile. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word, a hug, and a gentle heart to offer. He was easy-going, tender-hearted, and he loved deeply.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. Following the funeral, a private graveside service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church of Conway and United Way of Central Arkansas.

Our Robert, Dad, and Papa will be deeply missed and forever loved.
