Frances C. Simmons

of Earle, AR

July 22, 1943 - January 7, 2026

Frances C. Simmons, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.

Frances was born on July 22, 1943, in Tyronza, Arkansas, to Wilburn and Edith Hulen. She was raised in the Baptist faith, which shaped her values of service, kindness, and devotion to family throughout her life.

Frances dedicated over 40 years of her life to serving others as the Food Service Director for the Marion, Arkansas School System. She took great pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic, caring heart, and the love she poured into every meal she prepared.

Outside of work, Frances found her greatest joy in the outdoors. She loved fishing and could often be found at Midway or Bear Creek, enjoying the peace of nature. Cooking for her family was one of her greatest pleasures, and her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willard Dean Simmons; her parents, Wilburn and Edith Hulen; her siblings, Herman Hulen, Mike Hulen, and Wilma Jean; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Simmons.

Frances leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Jimmy Simmons and Harold Simmons and his wife Yon; her grandchildren, Robin Grimes (Josh), Amy Harrell (Tony), Casey Greenwood and Ian Greenwood; her great-grandchild, Anthony Dean Harrell; her siblings, Earl Wayne Hulen and his wife Jeanie, David Hulen and his wife Pat and Polly Blackwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Frances will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her love lives on in the hearts of those who knew her and in the memories shared around family tables and quiet fishing waters.
