Gary "Animal" M. Wray

of Olive Branch, MS

August 19, 1955 - January 8, 2026

Gary M. Wray, known affectionately as ''Animal,'' age 70, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away on January 8, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Cecil Wray Sr. and Coy Carter Wray.
Gary was a man who loved the outdoors and the freedom of the open road. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid motorcyclist who found great joy in riding his motorcycle. He especially cherished the time spent with his extended family and friends and was a proud member of the Southern Cross Motorcycle Club, where he shared brotherhood, laughter, and countless memories.
Gary devoted many years of his career to the transportation industry. He was employed for several years as a trucking dispatcher with Priority Trucking Company. He later retired from Cummins Diesel and was most recently employed by Total Transportation Company, where he served as a Dispatch Manager.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his two sisters, Betty Sheeks and Sharron Wray.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Donna Wray; his brother, Raymond Cecil Wray (Lacy) of Germantown, Tennessee; and his nieces and nephews, Diane Sheeks, Kay Twilla, Carter Wray, Daniel Wray, and Billy Sheeks, along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is also survived by extended family members John Wesley James (Angie) and their children, Lexie, Jake, and Makayla; and Byron Yeric (Denise) and their children, Corall, Bethany, and Ben. ''We couldn't have done it without all of you.''
Gary also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Bella, Layla, Shelby, and Smokie, who were a constant source of companionship, as well as many wonderful friends who will miss him dearly.
Gary will be remembered for his love of riding, his loyalty, his strong work ethic, and the deep bonds he formed throughout his life
