Jackie Don Puckett, Sr., 79, of Batesville passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026.
He was born August 16, 1946 in Ajo, Arizona to Kenneth Eugene and Mabel (Brown) Puckett.
Jackie loved the United States. He enjoyed planning special trips with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife and children to special points of interest. Jackie was a big Razorbacks fan who loved to cook and be involved in family get togethers. His favorite thing was being ''Poppy''. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Williams) Puckett of the home, one son, Jackie Don Puckett, Jr. ''J.J.''(April); one daughter, Janette Raspberry ''Jan'' (William) of Kennett, Missouri; two sisters, Beverly Reasons, Carol Rutledge (Calvin); one aunt, Dorothy Shaffer (Jim); six grandchildren, Hannah Lamb (Chipper), McKenzie Puckett, Joseph Puckett, Jack Puckett, Blake Raspberry, and Olivia Raspberry, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 12, 2026 at Oaklawn Cemetery at 1:00pm with Allen Brown officiating under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Sherry, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious husband, Jackie. I am praying you feel God's arms around you to give comfort. Hang on to all the wonderful memories you two made all through your years together.

So sorry sherry and family for your loss Jackie was a favorite nephew to us I spent several of my growing up years with Jackie and his sisters he holds a special place in my heart. Jeanne and I are deeply saddened for the loss of my ol' friend, Jackie Don Puckett. When I heard of Jackie's passing, so many wonderful memories that Jackie, Sherry and I shared during our high school years and many times throughout the years since. My wife, Jeanne, and I are heartbroken and will continue to pray for Sherry, JJ, Jan, Carol, Beverly, all the grandkids and the extended family during this time of sorrow.

Jackie was one of my best friends in high school. I have such great memories from West Baptist Church. We had a great youth group. He will be missed but we'll meet again.
