Nora "Norma" Norma Elliott

of Snowball, AR

October 1, 1935 - January 4, 2026

Nora Norma Elliott left this walk of life on January 4th, 2026. Norma was born to her parents in Snowball Arkansas on October 1st, 1935 and became a proud graduate of Snowball high school in 1953. Shortly after in 1957 she married her husband Buck.

Together they raised one son Tony, along with numerous cows, hogs, and coon dogs during their over 50-year life journey together. Norma spent the majority of her life within just a few miles of the home she was born and raised in, deeply rooted within the community she loved. The only exception to the couple of nights she ever spent away from home being the instances where her and family traveled twice to Marianna Arkansas and once to the sate of Michigan pursing work in the agricultural field. Norma enjoyed raising a garden and tending to her abundance of flowers. In her short life of 90 years she managed to leave an impression of one kind or another on everyone she met. Though our hearts mourn, we are grateful for the memories we shared. Her love will remain with us always.

Norma was preceded in death by her father Johnny Hamm; mother Doshia Hamm; brother, E.J Hamm; husband, Buck Elliott; and son, Tony Elliott.

Her life is preserved through her grandson Anthony and wife Ashley Elliott and her great grand children, Addyson, Ace, Ayden Elliott.

Graveside service for Norma will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at McDaniel Cemetery near Snowball where Norma will be laid to rest beside her husband, Buck.

Norma and my mother were friends for many years and were related by the Hamm side of the family. She was such a sweetheart and always had a greeting and smile for those she knew. She was a blessing to all that knew her. We will keep her family - including those who cared for her at Highland Court - in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️🙏

I got to know this sweet lady because she sat at the same table with my mother, Rachel Harness, at Highland Court. I learned she was an avid reader and started bringing her books to read. She read through the whole series of ''Miss Julia'' books and said she often laughed out loud as there was not much else to laugh about in her life anymore. She was so very appreciative and such a delight to visit with. I will miss her. Rest in peace. '

We bought our property sixty-plus years ago from Norma and Buck and we became friends and neighbors and family, watched Anthony grow from a little boy to a fine young man who loved and cared for his parents and grandparents.
Our sincere condolences to Anthony and his family. Snowball is not the same without the Elliotts.
