Ruth Janice (Reynolds) Watson, 99, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was born on Tuesday, May 4, 1926, at Possum Walk, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Zella (Hopper) Reynolds. Ruth lived a long life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
On May 15, 1946, Ruth married the love of her life, James Monroe Watson. Together they built a strong loving home and raised two sons, Kenneth Watson and Gary Watson.
Ruth was a devoted homemaker who found joy in sewing, quilting, and cooking. She especially loved caring for her family and extending kindness to friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Her life was guided by her unwavering biblical beliefs, which she lived out daily with grace and conviction. Being in Ruth's presence was truly a blessing to all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where her love for God and her church family was evident throughout her life.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Monroe Watson; son, Gary Watson; sisters, Margaret Elliott and Zella Bea Novotny; brothers, Herbert Reynolds, Eugene Reynolds, and Ernest Reynolds Jr.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Watson (Barbara); daughter in law, Debbie Watson; grandsons Jerry Watson (Shay) and Travis Watson; granddaughters, Mica Kennedy (Colby) and Morgan Watson. She also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Ruth's legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation is Monday, January 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral services are on Tuesday January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Crabtree Cemetery next to her beloved husband, James.
Pallbearers are Jerry Watson, Joel Housley, Kalab Scarberry, Randy Treece, Dawson Treece, Kori Kimes, Bryar Cullum and Samuel Story.

My Aunt Ruth was always a caring person, made me feel at home when I would visit, Very loving lady that only the Lord could provide in this world, She will be missed and Thought of on this Date, As this date is my Birthday, May she rejoice in the gathering in Heaven 🌹❤️🙏

Ruth was an amazing person. Even though I didn't get to spend a lot of time with her through the years, the time I did was always a blessing. Prayers for her family and dear friends during this time.
Lillian and Luther Watson were my grandparents.

Mamaw was such an inspiration to us all. She was always smiling, dressed for the occasion and loved and was loved by every person she met. Ken, Debbie and girls, Scarberry family, you were her heart and soul. She is with her Savior that she loved to tell us about.
