Robert "Bobby" D David

of Vilonia, AR

October 21, 1944 - December 25, 2025

Robert D. ''Bobby'' David, 81, of Vilonia, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1944, in York Run, PA to Emil and Goldie David.

Robert attended Oak Bowery Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle whose life was centered on his family. As a husband and father, he was loyal and protective, leading with patience and by example. His greatest joy was his wife and children. He loved spending time with them. As a grandfather, he treasured being ''Pop''. To his nieces and nephews, Uncle Bobby was a constant source of encouragement, always present when needed. Through every role, his devotion showed in quiet acts of kindness, deep loyalty, and a love that bound his family together.

Robert was skilled at woodworking, often building furniture for family and friends. He loved traveling, golfing, and collecting classic cars. He also enjoyed the simple things in life such as mowing and working on his property and spending time with his sawmill.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Goldie David; his beloved daughter Janet David; his brothers Emil David, Melvin David, Bill David, Larry McCann, Will McCann, Clarence David, Donald David and Johnny David; and his sisters Sally Shanefelter, Alice Yanick and Lee Dean.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Cheryl David; his son, Gary David and wife Valerie David; grandchildren Tyler Ingle, Caleb Ingle, Karrah David and Aubree David; and great grandson, Jackson David. He is also survived by his brothers Benjamin David, Terry David and Billy David; and his sisters Susan David and Mary Jordan.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00pm at Cato Historical Church and Cemetery, 14000 Frenchman Mountain, Sherwood, AR 72120. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in Cato Cemetery.

Cheryl, I worked with you at KC in the early 70's. You and I and Donna Jo were great coffee buddies. I remember how you shined talking about Bobby, your love so obvious. My heart hurts for you and your family. You are all in my prayers, that you reach more peace than grief over your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Cheryl and Gary during this extremely difficult time. Losing Janet last month and now Uncle Bobby is heartbreaking, though I hope it brings some comfort knowing they are reunited. Uncle Bobby was always such a kind, pleasant, and likeable person. He will be deeply missed.
