Neghagean Bohannon

of Marshall, AR

June 11, 1937 - December 23, 2025

Neghagean Bohannon (Watts), age 88 of Marshall, Arkansas passed on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Morning Star, Arkansas on June 11th, 1937 to Lomery Watts and Cora Cypert Watts. Neghagean had two brothers, AC Watts and LaVaughan ''Von'' Watts who precede her in death. She had one sister, Evalene Watts Ferguson. Neghagean was married to Alva James Bohannon on June 28th, 1958 until his passing on November 25th, 2008. They had two children, Debbie Bohannon Elliott and Diane Bohannon Butler.

Alva and Neva lived in California for several years before returning to Arkansas. Neva worked in the community until she and Alva opened Bo's Fish House in Morning Star. After closing the restaurant, she became a fulltime homemaker until Alva's passing. In the following years, she loved shopping and traveling with her friends, Albert, Brenda and Morlene. She enjoyed going to shows in Branson and going out to eat. But her favorite place was at home with her flowers, trees and family. Neva stayed active until shortly before her passing.

Neghagean is survived by one sister, Evalene Ferguson; one daughter, Diane Butler (David); one granddaughter, Kimberly Horton (Jonathan); grandson, Anthony Elliott (Ashley); three great-grandkids, Adyson, Ace and Ayden Elliott; two nieces, Kelly Ferguson and Christy Ferguson; great nieces and nephews, Dillon, Chayce, Journey, Christina, Kash and Cory; and one great-great nephew, Koda.

Graveside services for Neva will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 26th, 2025 at Bear Creek Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jason Ragland officiating.

I am so sorry to hear about Neva passing away. She was a very dear friend of mine and Joe's and we had a lot of fun together, camping, hunting, fishing. She will be sincerely missed, I enjoyed getting to go out and visit her at her house. Prayers for all and Love all of you.

Diane & family, I am so sorry for you loss. Your mom was a sweet lady. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May you find peace knowing she is with Alva, Debbie and all who have gone before her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
