Vernon Odell Brewer, 72, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. Vernon was born on February 11, 1953 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Joseph Lee and Lola Bea (Wilson) Brewer.
Vernon was a hardworking man who loved fishing and hunting; he loved being in the woods whether working or enjoying time with family. One of his passions was collecting matchbox cars and old cars and knives. He truly enjoyed feeding wildlife and watching them come into his backyard.
Vernon was most proud of his two beautiful girls and grandchildren. Vernon and his wife had a storybook romance, after only 4 days they knew they were meant to be and married on May 31, 1977.
Above all else Vernon loved the Lord with all of his heart and as a faithful member of Mt. Joy Church he rarely missed a church service. Vernon will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Vernon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margie (Maness) Brewer; two daughters, Mary Jane Peters and husband Tim of Mountain View; Malinda Kemp and husband Scotty of Mountain View; two grandchildren, Dallas Lane Kemp and wife Rachel, and Leann Stair and husband Timothy; one brother, Jimmy Brewer and wife Bonnie of Mountain View; along with many extended family and friends.
Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary Brewer; one sister, Lu Bannister; stepdad, Lloyd Nesbitt; one sister-in-law, Kathy Brewer, and one niece, Nicole James Brewer.
Visitation is Friday, December 26, 2025 from 1:00 " 2:00 PM at Mt. Joy Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with Brother Truman Bullard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Mary Jane Peters, Shana Becker, Amy Matlock, Samantha Kniss, Kim Morgan, and Betty Osborn.
Honorary Pallbearers are Malinda Kemp, Leann Stair, Susan Lawrence, and Tim Peters.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

To my aunt Margie and my two cousins many prayers. Glad I made a point of spending a few day of my vacation time with you and uncle Vernon. Have many childhood memories with him from swimming, fishing and digging for arrow heads. Even splitting and helping delivery firewood are great memories. Will be greatly missed.

Well this is a tough one to write,I have known Vernon my whole life since I was 12 year old,I remember him getting snake bit many times when I was about 14 , working with Gary at the tire shop in the late 80-90 he was tough than a pine knot , he was one of God warrior and will be greatly missed, but I know he went on to his forever home in heaven, until we meet again, keep your eyes out for your wife, daughter and your old buddy down here.God bless

Vernon was a quite but loving soul he stood by his family and attitude. Im so glad we got to know them. Margie and him are amazing people who will do anything in the power to help anyone. We will miss him so much.

We love you and will miss you so much! Go hunt and kill us a big deer and have some good old deer meat !! Tell my brother I love him and I will see yall soon ! Hold those gates open for me! You maybe gone but will never be forgotten! Until we meet again daddy ! Your daughter forever!
