George Paul Geels, 56, of Lamar Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Little Rock.
George was born on March 5, 1969, in Paris, Arkansas to his parents Cletus Paul Geels and Elizabeth (Betty Jo) Zimmer Geels. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Russellville.
George graduated from Scranton High School in 1987. He attended Vo Tech Ozark graduating with a certificate in Automotive Technology in1988. He worked at Cloyes Gear, CCI, Baldor, Stark, and Tyson Foods.
George enjoyed watching football, hunting, bowling, fantasy football, and most of all spending time with his wife, three daughters, and grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leo Geels, and brother-in-law Randall Churchman.
He is survived by his wife Erika Geels, daughters Ashlyn Geels of Paris AR, Corey May of Fayetteville AR, and Emily May of Fayetteville AR, and grandson Blake Geels of Paris AR, siblings Laurie Churchman of Paris AR, Michelle and husband Gary Duff of Lamar AR, Tom Geels of Scranton AR, Susan and husband Randal Sullivan of Holly Lake Ranch TX, Mark Geels of Morrilton AR, and Amanda Geels of Scranton AR.
Visitation will be held from 12:00- 1:00 PM on Saturday December 20, 2025 at Roller Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, AR., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
I remember George as a little boy always running and smiling. Such fond memories of him and his family. We are so sad and sorry for everyone's loss. Thoughts and prayers🙏🙏

I'm so sorry for your loss. George was one of the best. Always smiling. Last time I saw him was on the square in Paris for Halloween. His daughter's candy booth was next to mine. He pointed over at her with such pride, and said that's my daughter. You all will be in my prayers.

I remember George as a little guy who was always nice and so happy. He grew up and was a loving husband and father and stayed true to his working class roots providing for his family. Such an honorable young man who will be missed by so many. RIP George.
