John Charles Fisher, age 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on December 17, 2025.
John was born on October 30, 1948, in Wynne, Arkansas, to J.C. and Annie Fisher. From an early age, he learned the values of service, family, and hard work, principles that guided him throughout his life.
John proudly served his country for 24 years in the United States Army and Army National Guard and was a Vietnam Veteran. His dedication and sacrifice were a source of great pride to his family and all who knew him. Above all, John was a devoted family man. He shared 54 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Connie Fisher. He was a proud and involved father who coached his daughters' softball teams and later found immense joy in being a grandfather. John cherished life's simple pleasures, time spent at the beach, grilling outdoors, being outside, good food, and gathering with family and friends. Music was always playing nearby, especially his favorite 1960s oldies, which brought comfort and joy to many moments shared with those he loved.
John was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Annie Fisher, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Fisher; his daughters, Sonya Williams and Andrea Hicks and her husband Dwayne; his grandsons, Cameron Hicks and John Williams; his sisters, Mary Smith and Brenda Williams and her husband Winston; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
