Janice Kathleen Sharp, age 76, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Little Rock.
Janice was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Joe and Florence Gardial and was raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was a proud member of the Pine Bluff High School Class of 1967. Janice later graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she earned her MBA. She dedicated more than 40 years of service to Entergy, where she was known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment.
After retiring, Janice remained active and engaged, always eager to serve others. She had a special love for children and education and worked part-time with VIP Kid, teaching international students, as well as serving as a substitute teacher for the Maumelle Charter Schools. In a short time, as she so often did, Janice made a lasting impact and was honored by the Maumelle Charter with a parade upon her departure.
Above all else, Janice cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with loved ones, especially enjoying days at the lake and attending the many activities of her grandchildren. Her faith was central to her life, and she was deeply passionate about her church and living out her beliefs through service and kindness to others.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, John Sharp of Little Rock; her children, Rob Wooten (Jennifer) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Robin Howdershelt (Scott) of Austin, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren, Abbey Wooten and Jace Wooten. She is also survived by her sister, Jackie Atchley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and her brother, Phil Gardial of Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Florence Gardial, and her brother, Richard Gardial.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, located at 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
Janice will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and her gentle, loving spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace that will live on in all who knew her.
