Alice Marie Christianson, age 72, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 30, 1953, in Lufkin, Texas, to Orvis and Beulah Head.
Alice lived a wonderful life of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Memaw. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Orvis and Beulah Head; her siblings, Gerald Fitzhugh, Mona Head, and Kathy Wood; and her daughter, Kelly Sweeney.
Alice is survived by her husband, Eric; her daughters, Samantha Argetsinger (Tim), Nikki Sorters (Jason), and Amanda Gentry; and her grandchildren, J.W. Sweeney (Amber), Jordan Blair (Dakota), Paige Leamons (Aaron), Victoria Morgan (Patrick), Alexis Brown, Peyton Gentry-Gaddis, and Remmy. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Joey, Adrian, Jesse, Huxley, Jaxson, Evelyn, and Sylvia, along with her brothers and sister, Bill Fitzhugh, Linda Turner, and Jimmy Smoke.
Alice was the matriarch of her family and the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. She loved her family fiercely and would do absolutely anything for anyone in need, no questions asked. Her heart was generous, her door was always open, and her kitchen was the center of it all. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and she showed her love through every meal she prepared feeding both bodies and souls. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Alice's kindness, selflessness, forgiveness, and the warmth she brought to those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Roller Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Damascus Cemetery in Malvern, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alice's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
