Peter Joseph Raino, Jr, 90 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1935 in Joliet, Illinois to Peter and Jennie (Ditelo) Raino.

Peter spent most of his life in Joliet, except for two years in the Navy. He was married to his first wife, Judith, until her death in 2009.

Peter moved to Mountain Home in 1994 after retiring from the Post Office as Manager of Customer Service. He loved living in Arkansas and enjoyed time on the water in his pontoon boat, woodcarving, going on bus trips to the casinos, golfing at Twin Lakes Golf Club and later at Big Creek. He went to many shows in Branson and also Silver Dollar City. For something to do, he had part time jobs at McDonald's and became a greeter at Walmart when the Supercenter opened. He was a member of the Elks club.

Peter and Jeanette Scott were joined together in Holy Matrimony at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on October 6, 2012. They spent thirteen happy years together and enjoyed each other's companionship very much. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeanette, special friends Jim Szpicki, John Waters, Jim Williams and all who loved him.
He had a unique personality that was fun, bold and honest.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette of Mountain Home, son Daniel Raino of Joliet, Illinois, son David Raino of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and stepdaughter Mary Ellen Guthrie-Scott of Eugene, Oregon.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 17 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Peter's memory to Hospice of the Ozarks, located at 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home AR 72653
