Dorothy Louise Gibson, 96, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on December 8, 2025. She was born on July 3, 1929, in Little Rock to the late Edgar and Vivian Morgan Gibson.
Dorothy graduated from Little Rock Senior High in 1947, where she was a member of the concert band. She later completed her training at the Comptometer School and went on to teach there, sharing her skills with many students. Dorothy spent ten years with Mobil Oil Company before joining Ford Motor Credit Company, where she retired on December 31, 1989 after 26 years of service.
She was a devoted and longstanding member of several civic and fraternal organizations. Dorothy was a Fifty-Year Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Brady Chapter; Past Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow for Girls; a member of AARP Chapter #34; and served as a council member at Pleasant Hills Retirement Community. Her faith was central to her life. She was a 32-year charter member of Olivet Baptist Church before moving her membership to First Baptist Church in 1978.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., both at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
