Murl F. White, 77, of Paragould, passed away, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1948, in North Little Rock to Roy and Myrtle White. Murl worked as a route salesman for Forest City Grocery/Coremark and was also an insurance salesman. He was of the Christian faith, and enjoyed watching Turner Classic Movies, listening to oldies music, traveling with his daughter Daphne and The Old Guys Group. After Murl was unable to travel, The Old Guys Group would always come by and see him before their next outing. Murl proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of several groups, Mason, Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout), American Legion. VFW. Murl received several medals while serving, National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign, Army Commendation and Good Conduct.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife of 49 years, Dorothy Hearn White; son, Tony White; granddaughter, Cheslea Hearn; sister, Christine Hinton; brothers, Roy White Jr, and Raymond White.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Paul Hearn (Tanya McCarty); daughter, Daphne Phipps (Terry); grandchildren, Ryan Phipps, Caleb Phipps, and Megan Hearn; great grandchildren, Lexie, Blayden, Xander and Kennedy.
The graveside service will be Friday, December 12, 2025, 11:00am, at Greene County
Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Paragould, with Pastor Terry Phipps officiating.

Both Alice and I are deeply sorrowed to hear of Murl's passing. We had shared many a Scouting adventure and Murl always had a smile and a story to tell. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss and our prayers for comfort.

Grandpa Murl...I have so many wonderful memories of your time here on Earth with us!! You were truly a wonderful man who was always there for me in so many ways! I love you, and you will be truly missed!! Thank you for being a light in the darkness for so many!! Fly high Pops!

You will be missed old friend. We knew each other 71 years and are veterans. I used to love those cupcake sandwiches we had for breakfast.

I loved him so much , he alawys had a great sense of hummor . Love yall

Had many Scouting adventures with Murl. I was proud to be his friend. The Old Guyz will miss him. Prayers and good thoughts to his family.

I did not know Murl personally, but my late husband, John Phillips, was a scout with Murl and really thought a lot of him. Symphony to his family. Linda Phillips

He was a really nice guy, always a sunny person. I will always remember my Uncle eating cupcake sandwiches.
