Elizabeth ''Betty'' Spears

Elizabeth Arlene Spears better known as (Betty) 80, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side. To know Betty was to know warmth, generosity, and a love that wrapped itself around everyone fortunate enough to be part of her world.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Spears, and her son, Tommy Hawkins. Though they went before her, she carried them in her heart every day. She is survived by her children: Brenda Hawkins, Deborah (David) Wilson, Wendy (Nathan) Slinkard, David (Brenda) Tilley, and Tammy (Christopher) Cook. Her love reached even further through her grandchildren: Elizabeth Wilbanks, Danielle Wilbanks, Jami Gibson, Michael (Danielle) Hawkins, Heather (Matt) Summar, Christy (James) Miller, Alison (Taylor) Moore, Morgan (Daniel) Hignight, and Zachary Wright. She was blessed with many great-grandchildren and two beloved great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was one of a kind, funny, patient, and endlessly kind. She loved her family deeply, and you could feel it in everything she did. Whether she was listening to gospel or country music, laughing with us, or simply enjoying time with her loved ones, she made every moment meaningful. And of course, she never stepped outside without her hair and makeup just right.

Her love was steady, her heart generous, and her presence truly irreplaceable. We will miss her more than words can say, but the kindness she lived by and the love she planted in all of us will carry on for generations.
