George Bailey Barnhill of Redfield, Arkansas, was born in Green Forest, Arkansas, on September 10, 1937. On Sunday, December 7, 2025, he went to be with his Lord and Savior. George was an Army Veteran and retired from the US Post Office. He was the husband of Patsy Barnhill who shared 65 years of marriage.
He was a devoted member and Deacon of Orion Missionary Baptist Church, where he deeply cherished his church family. A talented and dedicated carpenter, he also found great joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, and farming, and he held a lifelong love for animals. He will be remembered for his servant's heart, his kindness, and the unwavering love he shared with his family and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Nellie Barnhill, sister, Iola Pearl Norris, and brothers, Norman Barnhill and Beryl Barnhill.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughter, Annette (Paul); son, Bryan (Traci), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will begin at 11:00am on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Orion Missionary Baptist Church in Redfield, Arkansas with a memorial service beginning at noon.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the UAMS Kidney Transplant Program.
