Edith Gwenell ''Gwen'' Caraway was born on September 11, 1947, in Camden, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2025.
In 1965, Gwen married Paul Caraway, beginning a life centered around her family. Gwen's pride came from being a mother to her two children, Tommy Caraway (Jill) and Christy Caraway, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Gwen worked for the Little Rock School District in their procurement department, retiring in 2014 after years of dedicated service.
In her retirement years, Gwen found a new and overwhelming joy in being "Gigi" to her cherished grandson, Finley Caraway, who quickly became the center of her world. Their bond was a special one, filled with laughter, tenderness, and a love that only grandparents understand.
She was rooted in love spending hours working in the flowerbeds, creating a beautiful place to grow in love. Gwen was a steady, comforting presence to all who knew her. Many found her home to be a welcoming place of warmth, kindness, and countless people saw Gwen as a mother figure in their lives. Her gentle nature, warm heart, and unwavering devotion touched the lives of many, and her love was felt in countless small, meaningful ways each day.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Caraway; her children, Tommy Caraway (Jill) and Christy Caraway; her adored grandson, Finley Caraway; and her four siblings: Robert Grace of North Little Rock; Ronnie Grace (Kathy) of Conway; Larry Grace (Dee) of Harrison; and Sherry Greenland (Garvin) of North Little Rock.
Visitation will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home on December 12, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with burial at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas.
To know her was to love her. Gwen's memory will remain a light in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Curtis and I loved Gwen, when we got married we rented from her and Paul. I remember the hayrides at Halloween, the talks we had on the deck she was a great listener, Paul , Christy and Tommy we are sorry for your loss and praying for peace and comfort for you, she will be missed
