Jolyne Thompson Raines, 85, of Risher, AR passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She was born October 4, 1940 in Weiner, AR to Roy Hooper and Lucile (Morgan) Thompson. Jolyne was of the Baptist belief. She loved gardening, flowers, fishing, cooking, working Find A Word puzzles and Christmas. But the most important thing to her was being with her daughter, grandkids and family.
Jolyne was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings, J.W. Thompson, Geraldine Maxum, Rayburn Thompson, Shirley Hurst, Roy Allen Thompson, Carylon Skaggs and an infant brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Scotty) Gibson of Risher, AR; two grandchildren, Kory (Heather) Gibson of Risher and Kayla (Michael) Jones of Jonesboro and three great-grandchildren, Kelsie Webb, Grayson Gibson and Kipton Jones.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Redd Cemetery with Paul McKinney officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
Pallbearers will include Kory Gibson, Michael Jones, Scotty Gibson, Tim Gibson, Jake Coe and Ryan Bussey. Honorary pallbearers will include Keith Maxum and Hunter Johnson.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
