Kathryn Elizabeth Gilliland, age 88, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, December 5, 2025 at her residence.
Kathryn, who resided in Yellville for the past 30 years, originally came from St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on October 3, 1937 in Tula Lake, Modoc County, California to her parents, the late Jewell Hudson and Dorothy (Musick) Hudson.
Kathryn spent her career in health care, working in home health. She was well thought of and cherished by those she cared for, once having touched the hearts of an older couple who wanted to adopt her, which is a true testament to her kind soul. Kathryn had a deep love for nature; she enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening and spent a lot of time outside.
She is survived by her devoted son, Brian Gilliland of Yellville, Arkansas; her brother, James Hudson of Yellville, Arkansas and several loving nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Helen Stubbs, Jackie Rogers and Barbra Fox.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Legacy Hospice in recognition of the care they provided.
Arrangements are in the care of Roller Burns Funeral Home, in Yellville, Arkansas.

We had been friends for many years, always had things to talk about when we saw each other trying to catch up. Will miss stopping by to see her, wish we had done that more often. My love and sympathy to the family. Remember the good times.

Miss Kathryn was the type of woman that made an impact the moment you met her , she was a dear friend to my mother as they often spoke and went to thrift stores and took trips together .. she was always ready to give a hug and enjoy a good conversation .. I'm so sorry to her family for the loss but it's pretty easy to know she was greeted by the lord with a hug and good conversation.. save me a spot lovely I look forward to meeting you again .

Sorry to hear about your family's loss of a love one. Prayers of comfort.
