It was with great sorrow that I saw the beautiful obituary for Carol. We grew up together in Searcy and were inseparable friends during our high school years. We kept in touch for a few years as we both pursued marriage and families but lost touch. My memories are of a fun loving and special friend. She will be remembered as that special person to me during that time of my life. God bless you and your family. I know your faith will sustain you as it did Carol through life's opportunities and challenges. I know she will be fondly remembered by many people whose lives she touched. Glenda

Rhonda, I'm so very sorry to learn about your loss. Carole and I were close friends growing up and going to school together in Searcy, both graduating in 1968. I was fortunate enough to have visited with her, in, I'm really not sure, about 2014 to 2016. I, and I'm sure, ALL of my classmates thought the world of her. Memories are precious. God bless you and all family.

Dear Rhonda, I only learned this week of your Mom's passing. She meant a lot to me, and was dear as she taught my daughter in Shirley, but also I never would have gone into teaching if she had not asked me to come 'do music' with her 3rd grade class at Shirley. That was in 1983 and it changed my life! To add to that, then I got to work with YOU at CHS, and you're dear to me. Thinking of you, with love. ms g

Rhonda, Carol was a sweet and wonderful lady. A beautiful smile and a caring heart. Bless you and your family.

Carole was a genuinely caring human, I've taught in many districts and worked with dozens and dozens of people, and she by far stands out as one of the few that genuinely cared about people with absolutely no agenda other than love. She made me feel loved the moment I met her, she always expressed how much she liked me, which makes a person feel special and very few people take the time to express. I know she made everyone she came in contact with feel this way. She was passionate about literacy and taking care of students in the best and most caring way possible. I am greatly saddened to learn she was battling dementia but am joyful knowing she ran the race well and is healed on the other side.

I was blessed to call Carol my friend for the many years that we taught together at Clinton. She was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met, and treated my son like her own. Dylan adored her as much as I did, and she helped him so much in his journey as a young deaf person learning to communicate better with a hearing world. She will be forever missed, and always thought of with great love and admiration.

My whole family loved her so very much! She gave my oldest son the nick name of "Prout sprout" and he still get called that today. ' She will be very missed by all especially the Prout family.
Tom, Sharon, Jonathon, and Jacob Prout

Carol was a great teacher she taught my children at Shirley school. I had several conversations with her and she was such a great person and always had the best interest of the children in mind. She will be missed! My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family.

Rhonda
We are so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. Yet we know the struggles of dementia as Lorena's mother had dementia for several years. Our prayers are with you during this time of mourning. God bless and comfort you.
Don & Lorena.

I was so sorry to hear of Carole's passing. I have fond memories of being in school with her and being in the SHS Class of 68 with her. Praying for peace and comfort for all those that loved her.

Oh my gosh...sad to hear. Condolences and prayers to the family. To this day (decades and decades later), when people ask who my favorite teacher was...always Mrs. Evans. A truly remarkable person. Probably the reason I read so much still!

I'm so sorry to hear about her passing. .She was loved by so many. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Cathy, Jim and family - I am so very sorry for your loss. May all the wonderful memories bring you peace and comfort. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Wonderful memories of her.

Carole was instrumental in securing my first teaching job at Shirley. She was not just a co-worker, she was an inspiration to all her students as well as the adults who were priviledged to work with her. She set examples that will forever be etched in my mind. She was a leader and a true friend that encouraged me to keep going when my life was chaotic!!! Today, I still remember many of the things she said to me to keep me focused and continue to become a better version of myself. Her honest concern for the students in the school was so obvious. She constantly thought of ways to help them academicly and personally. I never saw her treat any child superior to others, but she always strived to make the children she came in contact with comfortable and cared for. Yet, she still managed to love her own children and family with all of her being!!!! She was so very proud of her family and never failed to share their accomplishments . Rhonda, my prayers will be with you and your relatives, but I know that you have a huge amount of wonderful memories to grab a hold of when you start to feel the sadness. You have been a wonderful daughter to care for her as you have and if she could tell you, I know she would say you have been amazing!!!!!!!! Love and Prayers will continue ............

What a wonderful cousin! Always full of Love and encouragement! I am so glad her battle is over and she can rest and her daughter and sister were always by her side. What a remarkable family ! My love and prayers! Kay Fudge

What a precious teacher who always met you with a smile and a soft kind word! She loved what she did, but she loved us kids more than her job. So grateful to have had the honor of being taught by such a wonderful lady.

I loved her so much! I am so grateful for her guidance and all her support when I started teaching. She was an inspiration to me! We had so many laughs together. She made a huge difference to me as a mentor and friend. My life was better for knowing her! When I think of her, I remember her smile and the twinkle in her eyes!! Hugs to her family.🩷

Im so sorry to hear this. I will never forget Ms Evans gave me hug on a day when it was so needed. I was just a little kid. It meant the world to me.

My heart goes out to the family. She taught me when I was a little girl. She is a special lady and will be missed by many.

This truly breaks my heart. She was a wonderful teacher and a very compassionate person when she taught my daughter in school. She will be dearly missed. Praying for the family.

So sorry to hear about Carol passing my thought and prayers are with the family

I had the privilege of knowing and taking care of carols parents, she was a fierce advocate for them, a wonderful daughter, she'd come in my offices and we would have therapy sessions, I'm not sure who needed them more- me or her! She was a blessing to all that knew her; her smile was infectious and u could tell she was 100% genuine. She loved her family so much. Many prayers for Kathy, Rhonda, Dylan, and extended family. Carol was truly an angel that walked the earth.
