Doris Ann Welden, age 86, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2025, at her home in West Plains, Missouri. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, where she lived most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. As a faithful Christian, she taught Sunday School for many years at Leaclair Baptist Church in Memphis. More recently, she became a member of Central Calvary Baptist Church in West Plains.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Cosby Welden; her daughter, Teresa (Ron) Wicker; her son, Joseph (Terri) Welden; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Gilmer, Katie (Ryan) Monahan, and Ted (Amanda) West III; and five great-grandchildren, Aubrey Gilmer, Parker Gilmer, Mason Gilmer, Jack Monahan, and Molly West. As the oldest of her siblings, she is survived by her sisters, Betty (Bob) Coley, Mary Fricker, Laverne (Fran) Scott, and Debbie (Al) Harvey; and her brother, James Whitehorn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Woodrow Whitehorn and Bessie Ann Whitehorn; an infant son, Glenn Eugene Welden; and her sisters, Christine Hartlein and Ruby Major.
The family will receive visitors between 11-1:00pm, on December 02, 2025, at the Roller Funeral Home, 25 County Road 27, Mountain Home, Arkansas with services to immediately follow. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice in West Plains for providing compassionate care in her last days.

Doris was so sweet. I enjoyed seeing her pleasant smile at church. She and Cosby were a blessing to all of us. I will miss her, and I know her family will miss her greatly.

Please accept my sincerest condolences to you and your entire family. May the love you have be a support to each other and the beloved memories you can look back on of your mom provide some comfort. You ALL. will be in my thoughts and prayers.
