June 4, 1942 - November 19, 2025
Doyle Wayne Jones, 83, passed away on Thursday, November 19, at the Springs Nursing home in Harrison, where he had resided for the past 5 years. Prior to moving to the nursing home, Doyle lived with his sister and brother-in-law for 38 years.
Doyle was born on June 4, 1942, in Peel, Arkansas. He was the oldest of 3 children to be born to Vernon and Anna Martin Jones.
Nothing brought Doyle Wayne more joy than working outside, whether that be mowing the yard, raking the leaves, helping farmers on their farms, or just picking up sticks. He especially loved going to the sale barn where he made many lifelong friends. There were always good times, lots of visiting, and an abundance of laughter when he was around.
Doyle is survived by his sister and brother in law, Vernetta and Jim Snipes, of Harrison, AR, his niece Kim (Cub) Scott of Harrison, AR, his great nieces that he loved dearly, Hayley (Josh) Earls of Alexander, AR, and Whitney (Michael) Santiago of Abilene, TX. Doyle was blessed to have four special great great-nephews, Lincoln, Levi, Liam, and Lex Earls and one special great great-niece, Mia Santiago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Anna Jones, and his younger brother, Ronnie Jones.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at the Springs Nursing Home for taking such wonderful care of Doyle Wayne and to Larry Paul Beavers for being his best friend and roommate during his stay there.
Graveside services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas, on Saturday November 22, at 10:00 A.M. with Cub Scott officiating.
Services are in the care of Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
