Ken Avaritt

of Harrison, AR

February 2, 1962 - November 19, 2025

Doyle Kenneth "Ken" Avaritt Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the age of 63 years. Ken passed away peacefully at his home, with his beloved wife, Kelli and his brothers and loved ones by his side. Ken was born on February 2, 1962 at Hot Springs, Arkansas, the son of the late Kenneth and Sue Avaritt.

Ken grew up traveling with his father, who preached the gospel for over 50 years. When Ken and Kelli married, he continued in his father's footsteps, preaching the gospel. He traveled thousands of miles across the United States, establishing new churches, endeavoring to heal the broken-hearted and comfort families in their time of loss. Ken made his living as a construction contractor. He and Kelli earned a reputation for superior craftsmanship, working on some of the finest homes in the Harrison area. He was a man who loved to laugh, he loved to garden and he loved to eat. But above all, Ken loved the Father of Mercies and the God of All Comfort.

Ken is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kelli Gae Avaritt; his daughter, Katie Sue Taylor and her husband, Jesse; his son, Trey Avaritt and three granddaughters, Josie, Evie and Sadie Taylor. He is also survived by his three brothers and their wives: Keith and Lesa Avaritt, Don and Linda Avaritt and Terry and Gena Avaritt, along with many nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Sue Avaritt and one son, Kendall Zachery Avaritt.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2025 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Evangelist Owen Campbell delivering the message.

The burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Reid Cone, Kevin Fields, Craig Hays, Kevin McLean, John Ford and Don Hartman.

Growing up my Uncle and Ken were good friends, so I spent a lot of time at Ken and Kelli's house. So many good memories of which i will always cherish. As the years have gone by our visits were far apart. But when we saw each other, we never failed to catch up. The last time I saw him, he was preaching my Mom's funeral. And I guess of all my memories thats probably my most meaningful one. In my darkest hour he was there, caring for my family. My prayers are with Kelli, Trey, Katie, and all of Ken's family! I so wished I could be there with you all, but my son is getting married. I will be there in Spirit!
