Nita Riggs, 79, a resident of Dover, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at home. She was born May 29, 1946, in Bullfrog Valley, to the late Chester Arch and Katie Lee (Freeman) Williams.

Nita was an avid outdoorsman, spending time fishing, camping, and horseback riding. She worked for the U.S. Forest Service, and was a Firefighter and Parks and Recreation Technician.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Kenneth H. Riggs; and her parents, Chester and Katie Williams.

Nita is survived by her sons, Kenneth W. Riggs and wife Maryjean, Richard H. Riggs and wife Amanda; four grandchildren, Emily, Ariana, Aiden, and Bentley Riggs; one brother, R.L. Williams and wife Shirlene; three sisters, Ineva Jo Riggs and husband George, Connie Harmon and husband Donnie, and Star Rowbotham and husband Tommy; and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Interment at Owens Cemetery, Dover, Arkansas.
