James H. Jackson, 85, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones and friends.
James was born on October 03, 1940 in Paris to his parents, Huey T. Jackson and Enda B (Grimes) Jackson. James worked for the Logan County Road Department for 15 years, was a row crop farmer and worked on a cattle ranch. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing, hunting game in the woods and fields or just camping by the river in Ozark.
He is preceded in death by his previously mentioned parents; two brothers, Charles Jackson and Roy Jackson; three sisters, Annis Webb, Judy Jones and Ruth Jones and his granddaughter, Christine Corley.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Jones) Jackson; two sons, Alan Jackson and girlfriend, Monica B. of Bass, Arkansas, Daniel Jackson and wife, Theresa of Bass, Arkansas; two daughters, Trisha Belcher of Paris and Mackenzie Jackson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and another two great-great grandchildren due to arrive next spring; several other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris officiated by Rev. Keith Bullock. The family will bury the cremated remains at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City at a later date.
Memorial service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
