of Yellville, AR
April 29, 1949 - November 16, 2025
Danny McCalla, 76, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born in Yuma, Colorado on April 29, 1949, to the late Albert and Edna (Petrie) McCalla. During his life, Danny served in the United States Army and later worked as a truck driver; he was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and always tried his best. He was known to be strong-willed and firm-handed but had a soft spot for family; especially his grandkids and his late wife Joyce who was the love of his life. He enjoyed being out on the farm, hunting and fishing- the simple pleasures in life.
Danny is survived by his son Michael (Krista) McCalla of Yellville, Arkansas; sister Evelyn Joyce of Medford, Oregon; sister-in-law Patricia Mitchell of Dallas, Oregon and grandchildren, Bradon, Ethan, Lainey, Shaylee, Adley and Casen McCalla.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce McCalla; his parents Albert and Edna McCalla and siblings Alfred, Eddie, Mary Ann, Calvin and Alberta.
Out of respect for Danny's wishes, there will be no funeral services; he was a humble man who leaves behind a legacy not of loud achievements, but in the joy living a simple life, never reaching for more than he needed. He will be deeply missed by all that had the privilege to know him.

So sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I know is whole again with Joyce. Prayers of comfort during this trying time.

Danny and I were hauling a big load of Sheetrock down the hill towards the Hwy. Dept. When the hood flew up on that ole 69 two ton.
Quick as a cat Danny flung open the door jumped on to the running board, one foot on the brake, one hand on the wheel brought is to the Hwy Dept safe and sound.
He was a hard worker and a good Guy. Will miss seeing Him around.

Micheal and Krista,
I have so many fond memories of your dad, from when we first moved to Yellville and met him and your mom. They were the first married friends I ever had and they set a standard on how to live and respect each other - and how to have fun and laugh. I will always remember his awesome sly smile and how he was always a great man.
Sending you all love and prayers for peace.
Sharon

Michael, Krista and kiddos…so sorry to see where Danny has passed. Prayers for all the family. He will be missed by anyone that knew him. He's with Joyce now and I bet they're over joyed to see each other again.
