Brenda Carol Newman, 55, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born on February 23, 1970, in Vardaman, MS, to Jessie Lamar and Shirley Ann (Fitzgerald) Harris. Brenda was a loving homemaker and enjoyed television shows, especially crime shows. She was of the Baptist faith.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dorothy Herman, and an infant brother and infant sister.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memories of Brenda include her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Newman; her children Thomas Newman, Margaret Newman, Teresa Newman, and Stephanie Newman; granddaughter Lily Waddell; sisters Charlotte Sosa and Mary Seal; and many nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Shiloh Church (CR 773 Jonesboro, AR 72401). Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5-7pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401).
