of Mountain View, AR
February 27, 1940 - November 14, 2025
Jackie Smith, 85, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 14, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1940, in Marcella, Arkansas, to Robert ''Henry'' Anderson and Lola (Thomas) Anderson.
Jackie was a devoted Christian and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Clarence Smith. Together, they owned Blue Sky Grocery and Junction Restaurant, where their passion for cooking and hospitality touched countless lives. Jackie and Clarence were amazing cooks, and you could taste the love they poured into every meal. Jackie had a gift for making everyone feel like family; whether welcoming friends into her home or offering guidance with a firm but loving hand. She would even treat her children's friends as her own, including giving them a good old-fashioned butt whoopin' when needed.
She also worked for DHS for several years, opening her heart and home to children in need until permanent placements could be found. Jackie's compassion extended to animals, especially her loyal companion, Missy, who held a special place in her heart. She loved fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Jackie is survived by her children: Tammy (Ken) Holden, Vicki (JP) Proctor, Jr. (Sarah) Smith, Robert Smith, Tony Smith, Eddie Smith, and Peggy Smith (James); brothers Dennis Anderson and Ronnie (Marva Jean) Anderson; grandchildren McKenna Santucci (Tres), Maggie Rowland (Blake), Samantha Doyle (Brandon), John Harness (Brandis), Holly Garrigus (Jody), Latosha Wilson (Lucas), Anthony Smith, April Smith, Ashley Smith, Heather Graham (Justin), Britney Harmon (Danny), and Whitley Smith; niece Cindy L. Stage (Mike); and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola and Robert ''Henry'' Anderson, and her husband, Clarence Smith.
A Visitation will be held at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Brother Darrell Gosser officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Harness, Josh Harness, Dustin Long, Andy Williams, Mike Stage, and Jody Garrigus.
Honorary Pallbearers are Don Thomas, Chris Johnson, James Fowler, and Jimmy Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fifty Six Cemetery Fund at Centennial Bank in memory of Jackie Smith.
