Sadly, our beloved, Barbara Bradford, 83, of Southaven, MS passed away on November 2, 2025 after a few years of failing health and ultimately succumbing to a recent diagnosis of Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy. Barbara (lovingly referred to as 'BB') was born the eldest of 6 daughters to Charles E. Harrison and Novella Allen Harrison on August 11, 1942 in Grey Ridge, MO. Barbara graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1960. She moved to Memphis, TN and met the love of her life, Ernest David Bradford while working at Pic Pac Grocery store. The loving couple married March 25,1962. A couple of years later, they had their first of four children: Charles David Bradford (61) of Cordova; TN, Tonya Bradford McNamara (60) -John of Belleville, IL; Brian Keith Bradford (0)-passed 2 days after birth) and Sonya Bradford Gubera (53)-Frank of Germantown, TN. She was a loving grandmother to Heather McNamara, Michelle McNamara and Jerry McNamara (Nikki). And a Great grandmother to Leanna Draper, Addison Crossen, Hudson McNamara and Harrison McNamara.
Barbara was a beloved wife for 63 years and a devoted mother. She was a devout Christian and served many children and families as the director of Germantown Church of Christ Mother's Day Out program for approximately 16 years. She continued her service to children at Kingsway Christian Church Mother's Day Out program until her retirement.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Novella Harrison. Her beautiful sisters: Linda Brand, Janice Phelps, Margie Harrison and Wanda Taylor. Her son, Brian Keith Bradford.
Barbara ''BB' is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ernest David Bradford, her beautiful sister, Cathi Newton, her adoring children, David, Tonya and Sonya.
Barbara loved laughter, games, decorating, cooking (especially for the Holidays), reading, her family, friends and of course her little bunny, Oscar & Big AL and little AL. She was also a very enthusiastic supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team- ROLL TIDE ROLL!
A very special thank you goes to the amazing care workers and staff at Desoto Healthcare facility for the past few years: Miss Vicki, Victoria, Michael, Penny, Joyce, Lulu, Michelle, Kenesia, Deidra, Stacy, Melanie, Leigh, Mary Bailey, Ryan , Lori and countless others. Thank you for taking such loving and compassionate care of our mother! Our father and our family could not have done this without all of your love, care and support.
May she rest in eternal peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
