January 25, 1941 - October 29, 2025

Dolores J. Valentine was born on Saturday, January 25, 1941, in Griffithville, Arkansas to her parents, Estel and Violet Jackson Christal. She completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in Searcy, Arkansas. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years at the time of his death, Harold A. Valentine and two brothers, Dana Kent Christal and Jackie Christal. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons; Stan (Lisa) Valentine, Scott (Jill) Valentine and Michael (Dina) Valentine; six grandchildren Easton (Jenna) Valentine, Megan Valentine, Auburn (Joey) Stallings, Mandy (Braydon) Brown, Macy Valentine and Molly Valentine; seven great-grandchildren Lennon Valentine, Emmitt Stallings, Merrick Valentine, Elias Stallings, Sheridan Valentine, Jubilee Stallings, Elliott Valentine along with many many friends.

She retired from Harding University as a bookkeeper in the Financial Aid Department and alongside her husband, they served as dorm parents for Armstrong Hall for 18 years.
Dolores was always supportive of the things her family was involved in. She was present at events her kids and grandkids were at and wanted to be in the know about their interests so that she could talk with them about it. She treated everyone like her own and never left a visit or a phone call without saying I love you.

Dolores was known for her love and concern for others. She was selfless, always taking care of others quietly and not in the spotlight. She loved her family and would do anything for them. This included close friends that she considered family. She was a wonderful cook and was excited to host family and friends whenever she could. She was a caretaker " which you could see as she had a green thumb and could grow anything. Dolores also loved to take a shopping trip.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with a Public Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. There will be a Private Family Service later in following the wishes of their mother. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy.

I came to love Mr. Valentine while coaching track and quickly loved Mrs. Dolores just as much. These two meant the absolute world to me and often gave me advice on raising 3 boys. Many prayers are being said for their boys and their families.

Valentine family,
We spent many years as friends of your parents. We loved Harold and Delores dearly. Delores was always such an encourager, especially when we were dealing with 4 little ones. She was a special caregiver and no matter how tired she would always have a smile and pleasant attitude. We are so sorry for your loss and know you will miss her.
As Bobby says you had a great mother and daddy!
Love, Bobby and Danna

Miss Delores was a lovely person. She always had a smile on her face, and she and Harold had a model marriage. They raised three fine sons. I am very sorry for her loss.

No one's home was more open & welcoming than the home of Harold & Dolores Valentine. A trip to Searcy was never complete without visiting them & eating the feast that she always had prepared. What a gift and blessing to have known both Harold & Dolores & getting to watch them love & serve in their special way. They will be greatly missed by so many. Praying for peace & comfort for their children, grandchildren, & friends.

We are out of state. It was a great shock learning that she had passed.
We will certainly miss her presence from church and also the Wednesday afternoon Early Bird class.
